    Comments

Couldn't find an email link - so I guess I'll do this here. First off, I don't want to come across negatively - I think most of what you say is spot on, and I enjoy listening to your broadcast. Okay, that's out of the way. Onward, right?

As I was listening to this one today you said in your commentary that 'nothing is impossible with God' is not the gospel, but I would say that it sums up the gospel very well. The verse, as I'm sure you know, is from the 19th chapter from Matthew - it was an answer to the question of the disciples, 'who can be saved?' In essence, Jesus is telling us it's impossible with man...but with God, nothing is impossible, because He has the power to save.

So - that's all I wanted to say. The teachings of the types like Mr. Furtick (sp?) make me weep because it is an easy believe-ism that make much of man.

Now - I hope you can do a broadcast soon on 'oh, so many people gave their to Jesus because of the commercial Focus on the Family aired during the game' - really? That's it - air a commercial and be wowed at the numbers surrendering their life to Christ? I'm in the gospels right now, but I want to go through Paul's letters and take note of what he says when he hears about the conversion experiences, if you will, from the various churches. I'm pretty sure he never once mentions, 'I heard that you heard and made a decision for Christ' - I'm pretty sure it was 'I heard what you have been doing/living/saying, etc, etc' how lives were changed because of the gospel - not just because a bunch of people heard and said, 'Oh yes, sign me up!' - and then went on living life as usual in the same manner.

Okay - that's it. Have a blessed day. (excuse any typos)

I don't understand what Camille is saying in her comment.

    Is she:

    A) putting in a request for a show theme
    B) criticizing Rosebrough's treatment of the issue
    C) both A and B
    D) none of the above

    Isaac...

Ah, it's why I rarely comment places!

I guess it was C - though more B. than A. ...and only 'criticizing' if you mean it with a positive connotation! ;-)

Hope that clears it up for you!

Camille, I still don't understand your comment. Can you please make it plain for simple old woman? Seriously. What were you trying to say?

    Camille,

I meant "criticizing" in a neutral fashion. Thanks for the clarification. :^)
