    Pierced For Our Transgressions
The belief that Jesus died for us, suffering the wrath of his own Father in our place, has been the wellspring of hope for countless Christians through the ages. However, with an increasing number of theologians, church leaders, and even popular Christian books and magazines questioning this doctrine, which naysayers have described as a form of “cosmic child abuse,” a fresh articulation and affirmation of penal substitution is needed. And Jeffery, Ovey, and Sach have responded here with clear exposition and analysis. This Book is a MUST READ. The cost is only $25.00 + $4.00 S/H

Regarding Furtick's speach, didn't Gary Lamb preach a similar 'sun stand still' sermon not too long ago, a call to pray 'audaciously?' If I recall correctly, you featured it on an earlier podcast. For people who value creativity and innovation so much, these seeker sensitive guys sure do emulate one another to a great degree.

You asked the question about Zondervan supporting such an event as this. First, Zondervan is a division of NewsCorp, thus a for-profit publishing company. Zondervan is more interested in selling more books and for theological fidelity of the Christian faith.

Posture-kinking energy blockers? God-essence breath contemplation? Rob Bell’s “Poets, Prophets, & Preachers” conference sounds more like “Yogas, Pot-heads & Philosophers.”
