    Pierced For Our Transgressions
The belief that Jesus died for us, suffering the wrath of his own Father in our place, has been the wellspring of hope for countless Christians through the ages. However, with an increasing number of theologians, church leaders, and even popular Christian books and magazines questioning this doctrine, which naysayers have described as a form of “cosmic child abuse,” a fresh articulation and affirmation of penal substitution is needed. And Jeffery, Ovey, and Sach have responded here with clear exposition and analysis. This Book is a MUST READ. The cost is only $25.00 + $4.00 S/H

    Comments

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
The Holy Bible : English standard version. 2001 (Ga 3:28). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.

If a church body willing "elects" a person who publicly denies the orthodox Christian faith does that make that church body no longer a part of the Christian Church?

Ms. Schori does not meet the qualifications to be a bishop, nor a pastor. Her lack of serious theological training is more than obvious. It is hard to take the ECUSA seriously. I can understand why many parishes are leaving the ECUSA so that they can remain faith to the Anglican Communion.

When I left the Episcopal Church it was because I felt that the church was heading in a direction of no longer holding a high view of the Word of God. It's hard to listen to what could best be described as a "messenger of Satan," speaking for the church. They have turned was was once a Body of Believers that held to a liturgical view of worship, into a liberal, worldly, social organization. It indeed breaks my heart.
