On the "Juno" sermon.
Don't you hate how these guys are all about being relevant, but they drag out the same old tired schtick? I can't tell you how often I listen and I have to say, "That is so... 90s."
Forget the fact that movie-based sermons are overdone. The hook for this sermon was the phrase "Love is a verb". My favorite part was when he repeated it over and over again.
Where do I think this phrase came from?
"Luv is a Verb" was the title of a christian rock song by DC Talk back around 1994. It must have popped up on his iTunes while he was knocking out sermon prep.
