    Apart from the awful 'sermons' these... ehem... pastors preach to their congregations, the aspect that irks me the most is the casual way in which they refer to Jesus as a "guy". Or the manner in which they speak for God in a contemporary slang that removes the perfect eloquence of the Lord.

    For instance, after a breathless exegesis on contemporary pop culture they will say: "And God was like, you know, like... 'I smote them, man'. Yeah!"

    UGH!
