    Pierced For Our Transgressions
The belief that Jesus died for us, suffering the wrath of his own Father in our place, has been the wellspring of hope for countless Christians through the ages. However, with an increasing number of theologians, church leaders, and even popular Christian books and magazines questioning this doctrine, which naysayers have described as a form of “cosmic child abuse,” a fresh articulation and affirmation of penal substitution is needed. And Jeffery, Ovey, and Sach have responded here with clear exposition and analysis. This Book is a MUST READ. The cost is only $25.00 + $4.00 S/H

Honestly, wanting to feel beautiful has never been a priority to me. It's nice to have the compliment, but it's not the deep desire of my heart.

I thought it was interesting that in his football story he called the women the football stars dated ugly. That doesn't help women listening to the 'beautiful' sermon feel beautiful.

A woman listening to this sermon, who doesn't feel beautiful because of the damage done to her by others, as he mentioned that there were women who had been abused by their fathers, knows how much uglinees resides in her because of the sin against her and her sinful responses. If she believes any of this band-aid teaching that seeks to cover up the sin that is her own and the sin that was done against her, it will soon disappoint her. She needs the power and the Truth of the cross for REAL, deep healing.

" 1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

Let us show grace to our brother Perry Noble. He's not all bad; look at what he just wrote on his blog:

"A few thoughts from what God is rocking my world with here lately…

    * The book of Acts is disturbing for those who desire comfort and status quo…God has never embraced either…neither should we."

    see: http://www.perrynoble.com/2008/11/10/the-book-of-acts-is-disturbing/

Granted his preaching was grossly out-of-context, we must encourage him to cleave closer to the Word and pray he has the humility to praise God for such a rebuke.
