Listening to your podcast, I was reminded of the words of an old preacher of the eighteenth century who was called 'The Lancashire Apostle'. Writing to his son, who was entering theological college, he said: "Put man down, put Christ up." There is a whole theology of preaching in those six words. It is not what the emering types believe.
